I absolutely loved this book. It centers around Leon, who suffers from sleepwalking episodes, and he is such an interesting character to follow. He wakes one morning to find his wife is leaving him, and she suffers injuries to her face. Did he cause them? Can he get her back? Leon is an unreliable narrator given his sleep disorder, and it is difficult to tell whether you should even be rooting for him, given his past history of violent behavior while sleepwalking. Leon eventually gets a camera to capture what happens while he sleepwalks, and we go down the rabbit hole from there.
It is difficult to review this book without spoiling anything, but this is a surreal psychological thriller that will keep you guessing until the end. Even the ending will have you thinking. A real page-turner, I could not put The Nightwalker down.
